Award-winning storyteller Robin Bady has been called, “gutsy, big hearted, and street smart.” Whether performing for adults, children or families, Robin has a warm a warmth and humor that brings her stories to joyful life, creating an electric and engaging rapport with her audience. Her repertoire includes world tales, current events, oral histories, literature, ghost experiences and personal stories.

She has performed at hundreds of festivals, theaters, colleges, schools and libraries. As a teaching artist and staff developer, she has worked with the Brooklyn Academy of Art, CityLore, Henry Street Settlement, the Guggenheim Museum of Art and the Brooklyn Museum of Art, among others. Based in Brooklyn, she performs across the United States and Europe.

Robin is honored to be the 2012 recipient of the JJ Reneaux Emerging Artist Grant Award given by the National Storytelling Network.

As storyteller, playwright, actress, writer and now storyteller, Robin has had a love affair with the written and spoken word for over 30 years. She was a member of two ensemble theater companies, artistic director of two youth theaters (in New York City and Chicago), director of the Storytelling Center of New York City, and is the founder of Shirazad's Children, a multi-cultural storytelling ensemble. Her motto? "Storytelling! If not now, when?"
