Vivian Dubrovin has been writing for children for almost 40 years and has published more than 20 books. She has taught university continuing education classes for teachers on Helping Children Write Short Stories and Helping Children Become Storytellers. She has directed many regional writers conferences on writing for children and has lectured extensively on writing for the juvenile field at professional writer's work-shops. In 1993 she formed Storycraft Publishing to produce storytelling materials for young tellers. In 1994, she started the Junior Storyteller newsletter for kids. In 1996, she created the Kids' Storytelling Club website. She is a past Regional Advisor for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), has received many awards, and is currently creating a series of downloadable booklets to help children become storytellers.

Vivian Dubrovin enjoys “Helping Children Become Storytellers,” and working with teachers and youth group leaders who are also working with young tellers. She enjoys demonstrating her TellerPaks, telling stories from her print books, and performing tales from her new downloadable booklets.
Vivian prefers speaking locally (Northern Colorado) to school-age children to help them become storytellers. For farther locations, Vivian is willing to participate in webinars or other internet learning. Vivian's company, Storycraft Publishing, is an approved resource for Texas UIL statewide storytelling program. The Junior Storyteller quarterly publication, edited by Vivian for 17 years, has been widely used in schools and libraries to help young storytellers.
