PERFORMER-STORYTELLER/MUSICIAN: United States and in Canada, Europe, and New Zealand.

RECORDING ARTIST: 12 CDs and a DVD as a duo; 3 solo CDs of music and spoken word; on-line video.

AUTHOR: training materials; articles for maritime publications; contributing author in a maritime history by Claremont Press, and author/illustrator for a children's book by the Thrasher-Horne Center for the Arts; educational curricula; short stories.

ARTIST and PUPPETMAKER: various media. Illustrations for educational booklets and games; sculpture, some in the form of puppets. Individual works as well as collaborative works with students exhibited at Cummer Museum of Arts and Gardens, Thrasher-Horne Satellite Exhibit, and Government Services Building in Bunnell, FL.

EDUCATOR: Community Educator for Friends of A1A Scenic & Historic Coastal Byway, Residency Artist for VSAFL (Very Special Arts Florida),and faculty at the Old Town School of Folk Music; educational residencies in several states; workshop presenter. ABOUT THE ARTIST'S WORK: The songs and stories of Chris Kastle have been described as "exquisite" and possessing "powerful imagery". Her performances are a rich blend of personal stories, original works, historically based programs, and those drawn from folk tradition. They captivate, entertain, and transport people of all ages. She presents traditional and original songs using guitar, fiddle, penny whistle, mandolin, and drum. Chris may use her whimsical puppets for younger audiences.
