Anne McCrady is a poet and storyteller who has been enthralling audiences for over two decades. Whether on page or stage, Anne always offers a reason to smile and food for thought. Her story repertoire includes legends and myths, peace and wisdom tales, history and folklore, and original and personal stories.

Anne has been featured at the Rusk County Heritage Syrup Festival, the Squatty Pines Storytelling Festival, the Texas Living History Day,the Texas Storytelling Festival and the National Storytelling Conference, as well as at retreats, schools, churches, libraries and community events. She is also a past Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Artist. Several of her personal stories have been published in inspirational collections, and her favorite venues are those with a positive mission.

An amateur naturalist and eternal optimist, Anne lives with her physician husband in the nurturing shade of hundred year old trees in East Texas.

Anne is the founder and principal of InSpiritry - Putting Words to Work for the Greater Good. Through InSpiritry, Anne offers Ideas for InSpired Living through her website and blog, guest blog posts at other sites, inspirational storytelling and non-profit work. Her award-winning poems have been published in her own books, literary journals and poetry anthologies, and her creative non-fiction has been included in several inspirational story collections.

Besides her writing and storytelling, Anne is a popular speaker, blogger and community leader. Educated in science, interested in the global community and committed to a better world, Anne works to inspire people to bless each other by using "a Wider Lens, an Open Mind and a Gentle Heart."

Her storytelling workshops are based on her ideas that "every problem is a story waiting to be written or told" and that "we begin caring about one another when we hear each other's stories."
