Cindy Rivka Marshall is a professional story performer, educator, and award-winning recording artist. She performs multicultural and Jewish folktales, historical and original stories for all ages at schools, libraries, museums, theaters, synagogues, churches, conferences and storytelling festivals.

She facilitates workshops in the use of story in educational, organizational, religious, therapeutic and community settings. She coaches educators, clergy, parents, performing artists and storytellers in effective storytelling and presentation skills, and specializes in the use of voice and body movement. Her workshops are consistently rated "most useful" and "inspiring." Award-winning recordings include: "Challah and Latkes: Stories for Shabbat and Hanukkah," "By the River: Voices of Jewish Women;" "The Whole Megillah: A Purim Tale;" “Bear's Tail and other Animal Tales."

Cindy Rivka Marshall travels nationally to be a storyteller in residence at synagogues, offering Jewish folktales and midrashic stories for all ages and teaches workshops for religious educators, parents and children. She also performs multicultural folktales for children and adults. She brings a theatrical sensibility to her storytelling, incorporating music and vividly evoking images with her gestures and facial expressions. Cindy runs the Dancing Tree Storytelling Studio as part of the Gorse Mill Studios artist community in Needham, MA.
