Creative storyteller and arts consultant, Dr. Gail N. Herman, has performed and taught storytelling extensively throughout the United States, as well as in Oman, Ghana, India, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Jamaica, Germany, Montreal, and the Virgin Islands. Besides performing for students in schools and libraries, Dr. Herman works with teachers and helping professionals to infuse storytelling and the kinesthetic, musical, and spatial aspects of learning into reading, creative writing, science, math, speech, & social studies. She teaches for Lesley University, MA, and The University of Connecticut (CONFRATUTE). Gail has taught at Garrett Cllege & directed the Tall Tale Liars Festival in MD for 19 years.
She is also a guest lecturer on stories, sounds, & movement in art appreciation classes at George Mason Univ. and Maryland Institute, College of Art and at the Univ. of CT. She presented many storytelling workshops to organizations such as Confratute, NAGC,AEGUS,LANES, NSN,&NAEYC.
