Marcia Donovan has been a professional storyteller since 1984 and the Putnam County Library Storyteller since 1988. She holds Tennessee K-3 certification, has a Masters in Early Childhood Education and has 15 years pre-school and remedial teaching experience. Marcia has been a Tennessee Arts Commission Teaching Artist since 1994. She was Storytelling Artist in Residence in Putnam County fourth grades 1993-99. She has been Storytelling Artist in Residence with Putnam County Pacesetters developmentally disabled adults since 2000. Marcia has performed at the Rugby Ghostly Gathering, Fiddlers Grove Storytelling Festival in Lebanon, Boo at the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville, Cookeville History Museum Boogers Haints and Haunts,and Cookeville's Fall Fun Fest. She has presented storytelling workshops at Tennessee Storytelling Association conferences, Governor's Academy for Teachers of Writing and local teacher in-services at the Library and local schools.
