Travel around the world and back again with stories from many parts of the globe and the best in Children?s Literature. Judy Sima is an award wining storyteller, author, educator and one of Michigan?s premier storytellers. She has been featured at festivals and conferences, schools and libraries across the country. Judy's warm, engaging performances bubble over with humor, song, and loads of audience participation.

Using modeling and active involvement, Judy is a nationally recognized workshop presenter. Her workshops are frequently featured at the National Storytelling Conference, Northlands Storytelling Network, American Association of School Librarians, and International Reading Conference. Judy's enthusiasm is contagious!

Judy has been telling stories professionally since 1987. As a Teacher-Librarian for over 35 years, she introduced many young people to the art of storytelling through her middle school storytelling troupe.

Judy's book, Raising Voices: Creating Youth Storytelling Groups and Troupes, (Libraries Unlimited) is considered a "must have" for anyone working with young people. It received numerous awards and accolades including Storytelling World Honor Award, Voice of Youth Advocates Five Foot Bookshelf selection, and The Anne Izard Storytellers Choice Award.

Judy is a featured storyteller in Good Character from the Story Watchers Club DVD Series. Winner of a Creative Child Magazine's DVD of the Year Award.

Judy is the recipient of the Michigan Association in Media's Ruby Brown Award for Individual Excellence,the National Storytelling Network North Central Region Service and Leadership Award, and the National Storytelling Network National Service Award.
