Lorna uses over twenty years experience in a variety of venues to reach adults, children, and especially at-risk youth. Lorna brings a blend of humor, music, and soft-spoken elegance to her presentations. Her programs are audience centered, relaxing, and inspiring.

Creative, Dynamic, Mesmerizing; Lorna transports the listener to realms of imagination. Her Medieval, Colonial American, Civil War, and Dust Bowl history programs are infused with story and art.

She specializes in Scottish story, Celtic folklore, Medieval history, fairy tales, and teen and women's issues.

Lorna has three current recordings a cassette for families "Magic Lands", a CD for teens and women "Crossroads: Stories of Choice and Empowerment", and the award-winning "Dancing in Dark Waters" a CD of the supernatural power of women.

Lorna is the director of Crossroads Story Center, Inc. a not-for-profit using story, music, and art to reach at-risk youth. She holds a Masters in Special Education, a BS in Creative Studies for Young Children, and certification in Trauma Counseling.

An award-winning storyteller, author, humanitarian, and recording artist, Lorna has presented as a workshop leader, keynote speaker, and teaching artist. Her performances at conferences, festivals, schools, libraries, museums, run-away shelters and detention centers throughout the United States, Canada, and Ireland include the following: Virginia Polytechnics Institute, POwer of Words, Green Mountain College, Castleton College, GEneseo College, Aisling Project, Republic of Ireland, Sharing the Fire, Northlands, Natinal Storytelling Network, Healing Through Story, Peace Panel Jonesborough, Riverway Storytelling Fest, Ulster Folk FEst, North Ireland, Chinquapin, Arts for Peace, Guelph Storytelling Fest, Ocala Storytelling Fest.
