Funny and smart, Priscilla's performances are a delightful blend of entertainment and education. With younger listeners, Priscilla's handpuppets come along for the ride and there's plenty of audience participation. Older kids and adults hear a more sophisticated mix of stories, served up with a dollop of humor.

Priscilla has a wide range, from two-minute stories to the Medieval romance "Tristan and Iseult," in 95 minutes. She's as comfortable with preschoolers as she is with kids at the Juvenile Detention Center.

Sometimes listeners ask Priscilla who her favorite audience is or what her favorite story is. "The one I'm with," is her invariable response. Whether she's doing a family night show, an arts center outreach program, a museum session or a week-long residency, performances and workshops are always fun for Priscilla and her listeners. (Fun, and sneakily educational.)

Choose from programs such as "Kindness, Compassion and Courage: Telling Stories for Character Education," "What book is that story from?" "World tour: folktales from around the globe," "Medieval medley," "Silly stuff" and many more. Check out the full program list at http://priscillahowe.com.

A former children's librarian, Priscilla has been a full-time storyteller since 1993. She grew up in New England, lives in Kansas, and travels the world with a bagful of puppets and a head full of stories. She has performed all over the US, in Belgium, Romania, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Peru, Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Bulgaria, to date. In 2015, she spent five months in Bulgaria on a Fulbright Scholarship, searching for trickster tales and performing.

Priscilla is also looking for the best restaurant pie on earth (fruit, not cream).
