Storytell "Archives"

www.story-lovers.com

Long-time list member Jackie Baldwin has been archiving citations, discussions and references on specified storytelling subjects, themes and motifs that have been posted on Storytell since 2000.

If you want stories for 3-5-year-olds, or Christmas stories, or Egyptian stories, or Draw-and-Tell stories, or Elephant stories, on and on and on... Story-Lovers IS the place to go because it not only contains all of the posts sent to Storytell, it also contains much original research that she has tracked down through the years and added to the web pages. There are 1,785 unique web pages in Story-Lovers, so you can see that it covers a lot of subjects. Jackie is now in the process of redesigning and revising each and every one of those pages and bringing them up to date, as well as adding new and valuable information to them.

In addition, there are the Bare Bones books, Volumes 1-8, which many of Storytell list members helped Jackie compile. They cover Persia, Russia, True Love, Halloween, In the Spirit of the Winter Holidays, Healing Stories, Croaks Heard 'Round the World and A Bit O' the Irish.

Plus 25 Public Domain stories in their entirety, along with original illustrations, contained in Come Sit on Grandma's Knee.

Plus Storytelling in Schools covering over 90 quantitative studies and innovative projects documenting the use of storytelling and storytelling techniques in nationwide classrooms... which Kate Dudding and Jackie published in 2007.

Plus three years of Story Lovers World radio programs...

There are archives documenting the terrible disasters like the Southeast Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina, when Storytell-ers used Story-Lovers to keep in touch with all of us when there was no other means of communication — and to compile relevant stories that could be told at subsequent benefits to raise money for the survivors.

So, yes, the archives are extensive and cover many subjects and they are organized and presented in a user-friendly way (even more so with the current revisions)... but you won't find the personal disagreements and OT subjects there.
