Asheville Storytelling Circle
Founded in 1995, the Asheville Storytelling Circle is a nonprofit organization dedicated to excellence in the oral tradition by affirming our various cultures through storytelling, and nourishing the development of emerging and established artists. Monthly meetings on the 3rd Monday, 5:30 p.m., at the YWCA at 185 S. French Broad Ave., Asheville. High Country Yarnspinners Storytelling Guild
Based in the Boone, NC area, the Yarnspinners Guild welcomes anyone interested in telling or listening to become a member. The main goal of the guild is to perpetuate the art of storytelling, provide venues for tellers to perform, and opportunities for listeners to hear and learn about storytelling. Tellers, both professional and amateur, are encouraged to tell stories from their culture whether it be Appalachian, southern, or from any country. North Carolina Storytelling Guild (NCSG)
An organization of NC storytellers and storylisteners for the purpose of fostering an appreciation and acceptance of the art of storytelling. We believe in nourishing the development of emerging and established artists. Our members reach across NC and into SC, GA, TN and VA. Gaston Association Promoting Storytelling (GAPS)
We are a group of regional storytellers and story listeners committed to fostering the art of storytelling in our community. Based in Lowell, North Carolina, we share stories, teach the art of storytelling, distribute information about storytelling and story listening opportunities in the area, and organize local storytelling events.
