Performers include:

Esther Culver (Southeast Region)
Esther Culver is a native of Atlanta, Georgia where she has been telling stories professionally for the past nine years. With Esther, you can never tell if you’re going to laugh or cry, sit or participate, hear a lie or hear the truth. She has no favorite audience because she tells
to all ages for the pure joy of telling. Although she writes many of her stories, you’ll also hear folktales, historical tales and stories that jump right off the library shelf. Info: JoyofStories@gmail.com

Meg Gilman (Northeast Region)
New Hampshire storyteller Meg Gilman travels widely, telling folktales and personal stories to all ages; her one-woman shows for adults “dive off the edge.” She provides stimulating and enriching workshops and residencies for schools, healing, spiritual, and corporate environments. Meg’s stories connect us with respect for the individual, honor our wondrous differences, and often encourage a new perspective. Meg serves on the Healing Story Alliance Executive Committee, and is the NH State Liaison for NSN. Info: meggart@aol.com

Linda Gorham (North Central Region)
This popular Illinois performer is known for her imaginative folktales updated with “attitude.” Her stories inspire, entertain, and engage international audiences of all ages. Linda was co-chair of the 2003 NSN Conference in Chicago. Her CD, Common Sense and Uncommon Fun, won four national awards. Info: www.LindaGorham.com

Elaine Muray (Pacific Region)
Using movement and narration as the foundation of her work, Elaine Muray draws from a synthesis of the arts including magic and masks to create highly theatrical versions of folktales and personal tales for children and adults. Her career highlights include performance at the Australian Storytelling Festival and at the National Theatre in Washington, DC. She lives in California but travels nationwide to perform and lead workshops in storytelling and physical theater. Info: www.EmbodiedVoiceStoryArts.com

Priscilla Howe (South Central Region)
Not easily pigeonholed, Priscilla is as comfortable telling Medieval stories to teenagers as she is performing for preschoolers. A story in French? No problem. Puppets? Yup. Hodja stories, translated from Bulgarian? Sure. Priscilla is a New Englander living in Kansas, traveling the world telling (almost) true stories, folktales and stories from books. She’s one of the founders of Going Deep, the long traditional story retreat. She’s also looking for the best restaurant pie on earth. Info: www.PriscillaHowe.com

LynnAnn Wojciechowicz (Western Region)
Arizona’s LynnAnn Wojciechowicz is a founder of South Mountain Community College Storytelling Institute and its current Director. A 2008 recipient of the NISOD (National Institute of Staff & Organizational Developers) Excellence in Teaching Award, she loves working with students, teachers, and parents, helping them discover the joy, power, and academic skills that storytelling provides. LynnAnn tells a variety of stories, from personal and fact-based to traditional folktales. She especially enjoys tales from her Scottish heritage. Info: www.storyteller.net/tellers/lynnann

Julie Pasqual (Mid Atlantic Region)
is a storyteller who is also a dancer, clown, yogi, American Sign Language speaker, and stiltwalker! Festival appearances for this New Jersey artist include: New Jersey Storytelling Festival, Connecticut Storytelling Festival, Hudson River Festival, and the New Jersey Folk Festival. While her performances at the Kennedy Center, and at NYC's Provincetown Playhouse were thrilling - storytelling at libraries and schools are her constant joy! Info: julieMpasqual@hotmail.com.

Yvonne Healy (Emcee)
Weird Irish legends, outrageous family lore, or rollicking kids’ tales: whatever your pleasure, the stories of this “wickedly talented” Midwest favorite open windows to life, as real and tender as it gets. Funny, too. Info: www.YvonneHealy.com.
Don't miss this exciting and diverse concert!
