About the NSN Conference:
The National Storytelling Conference (NSC) brings together National Storytelling Network (NSN) members, as well as individuals and organizations from the community, who are interested in the art and application of storytelling.  Members and non-members present material appealing to attendees’ variety of interests and developmental needs. 

 NSN Mission:  "Bringing together and nurturing individuals and organizations that use the power of storytelling in all its forms."

 Conference Vision:

The NSN National Storytelling Conference 2007 in St. Louis seeks to provide a meaningful, dynamic, and personally relevant experience for storytellers, story listeners, story users, and story advocates through a rich array of programming sharply focused on these aspects: critical review of the storytelling movement; the roles and responsibilities of the storytelling constituency, leadership, and alliances in the artistic, private, and public sectors of our society; expanding and increasing the value of storytelling across artistic/cultural/social/political/corporate/technical boundaries.

 Conference Mission:

In 1987, St Louis hosted the first National Storytelling Conference, and twenty years later, St. Louis is honored that the storytelling world will once again gather here. A twenty-year anniversary invites contemplation, evaluation and exploration; thus, this conference will provide the platform for conference attendees to reflect on our storytelling journey so far, celebrate how far we’ve traveled and create a vision of our collective and individual futures. It will be an opportunity to evaluate our successes and failures, learn from our mistakes, and seek out the information and inspiration we need to build the storytelling future that we envision.
