Charlotte Blake Alston, Milbre Burch,
Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo, Syd Lieberman and Dovie Thomason address the challenge of excellence when story¹s place in the world has been relegated to “long ago and far away.” For 35 years the national storytelling organization has been called upon to create a community that is increasingly diverse, accessible and empowering; to engage all its members from novice to nationally known; to remain relevant, balancing collective memory with a call to new directions. These veteran artists speak of their work within that community and the place of an ancient art form in a new century.

Let us gather at the feet of some of the wisest storytellers in our community for inspiration, guidance, challenges, and thoughts on the spirituality of storytelling.  They are all pillars of our storytelling community and we rejoice in the opportunity to be in their presence and to learn from their wisdom and experience
