Why
stay at the conference hotel?
The obvious advantage is the close proximity to the conference activities. But, a major advantage to all of the attendees is that when you stay at the conference hotel you are helping to fill up the negotiated room block. When the room block is filled, then our meeting rooms are free. If this doesn’t happen, NSN paying thousands of dollars for those meeting rooms. This in turn causes the conference rates to be increased for coming years. Yes, there are cheaper hotels around, but for a few dollars more a day, you are helping all attendees now and in the future, as well as your association when you stay in the conference hotel.
Do you need a roommate or would you like to be a roommate? It's always cheaper when you share. We want to help you find each other. If you are staying in the conference hotel, and want to share your room and need help finding someone, please email Betty Smith. NSN will keep a master list of wants and needs and notify you of a match. When you email include your name, email, phone number, do you have a room already and are looking for someone to share the cost or are you looking to be a roommate of someone. NSN is not responsible for the outcome of any matches made by you. We are operating this as a clearinghouse only.
Also, post on the NSN Forum. You will need to register first (easy), then scroll dowm to NSN/Conference 2007/Looking for a Conference Roommate? and make a new post.
