The Houston Storytellers Guild meets at 7 PM on the third Wednesday of each month at the Houston Center for the Arts, 3201 Allen Pkwy. Guests are always welcome and there is never a charge. The guild's professional arm, the Official Guild Storytellers, produces storytelling concerts on the last Wednesday of each month at the River Café, 3615 Montrose Blvd. Performances are at 8:00 p.m. $5 at the door ($3 for members). Houston's Millennium Storytelling Circle meets at 7 PM on the first Tuesday of each month at the Freed-Montrose Branch Library, 4100 Montrose Blvd. The small, informal meetings provide a safe environment for tellers to work on their stories and discuss the craft.
