April 2008

Fiddler's Grove Storytelling Festival will be held on April 10-12 at the Wilson County Fairgrounds in Lebanon.  See the ever popular Donald Davis, Youth Teller Hannah Smyth, and Tandem tellers the Two Sarahs, Akiba Shabazz, Larry & Gayleen Kelley, Gary Carner and Millie Sieber.  There will also be a swap and open mic opportunity.  They'll offer individual mentoring sessions and much more.  Contact Ladawna Parham at (615) 426-2463 or ladawna.r.parham@vanderbilt.edu.  Deadline for pre-registration is April 4th.

June 2008

Johnson City - June 2-6:  Storytelling:  A Way of Living presented by Connie Regan-Blake.  During this Summer Institute, Connie "brings humor, wisdom, and the heart of the story to workshop participants."  This 5 day workshop is sponsored by ETSU; college credit is available.  Contact ETSU Institute at 423-439-7863.
